what is overloading why is a fuse wire necessary in a circuit how does it work

Dear student,
When a high current flows through the electric circuits due to short circuit or overloading, the fuse wire heats up and melts. The circuit is broken and the current stops flowing thereby saving the electric circuits and appliance from any damages.

When high flowing from a fuse wire at that time fuse wire melts automatically and fuse will save the home appliances live TV, radio , fan , lamp ,tube light etc. So it must be required after main switch to save the major usable components and to reduce the damages .
