Dear Student,

A parliamentary form of government is one where the executive branch of the government is composed of members of parliament and the executive is responsible to the parliament. An example is the system of government in India. The executive is the Prime Minister and the council of ministers. All such ministers including the Prime Minister are members of parliament. Moreover, they are responsible to parliament and can remain in office only till they retain confidence of the parliament.
