# what is STP and NTP???reply soon :)

Dear Student,

STP is Standard Temperature and Pressure. It is defined by IUPAC.

NTP is Normal Temperature and Pressure. These are the normal room temperature conditions.

STP is 0 ° C (273.15K) and 105Pascalwhich is equal to 1 bar.

NTP is 20oC (293.15 K) and 1 atm which is equal to 101325 Pascal

STP: standard temperature and pressure                                                                                                                                                                    NTP:normal temperature and pressure                                                                                                                                                                         both give the same measures i.e, 273k  and 1atm .

no, i mean how does a question change when it says "STP" or "NTP"???

for example

in questions of stoichiometry....

what volume of oxygen at STP can be produced by 6.125g of potassium chlorate according to the reaction 2KClO3------>2KCl+3O2?

do we hav to multiply or divide or sumthin if it says "at STP"?
