What is telluric screw?

A very famous geologist (french) Alexandre used  atomic weights of the element to make the new form of periodic table and to classify its periodicity. He had drawn elements in the form of continuous spiral around a metal cylinder and then he divided these elements into 16 different parts considering the atomic weight of oxygen to be 16 was taken as the standard . Tellurium was situated at the centre. This become the reason for this periodic table to be called as telluric screw periodic table as it present in the centre of the spiral around a metal cylinder.
