When the work done is positive then , angle between force and displacement is θ=0°  ,
W= F·s= Fs cosθ=Fs cos0°=Fs=+ve
When the work done is negative then the angle between force and displacement is , θ=180° ,
W= F·s= Fs cosθ=Fs cos180°=-Fs=-ve
When the work done is zero then the angle between the force and displacement is , θ=90° ,
W= F·s= Fs cosθ=Fs cos90°=0
