What is the difference between a crop and a grain?

Plants grown for food on a large-scale are known as crops. For example, wheat crop, rice crop etc. While as a grain is a small, hard, edible seed harvested from these crops. For example, grains of wheat, rice etc.

There are many kinds of crops, including agronomic crops, feed crops, fuel crops, vegetable crops, and others.Foods such as wheat, rice, oats, cornmeal, barley, or products made from these foods are considered grains.
