what is the difference between autumnal equinox and vernal equinox.

 

The equinoxes are the times when the sun is exactly is overhead on the Equator. The Sun crosses the Equator moving northward at the March equinox and moving southward at the September equinox. When it is spring in North hemisphere, it is called Vernal. When the equinox in autumn in September, it is autumnal.
