What is the difference between Decapacitation and apical dominance in plants?

Decapacitation factor (DF) is composed of factors in seminal plasma which modulates the fertilizing ability of spermatozoa. The activity is achieved by interaction between cholesterol, phospholipids and fibronectin-like substances and delivered via small vesicles in seminal plasma. DF prevents onset of capacitation.
Whereas,
Apical dominance is the phenomenon whereby the main, central stem of the plant is dominant over (i.e., grows more strongly than) other side stems; on a branch the main stem of the branch is further dominant over its own side branchlets.
