Difference between demonstrative pronoun and demonstrative adjective:

A noun does not immediately follow a demonstrative pronoun, while a demonstrative adjective always comes before a noun.

Example of demonstrative pronoun:

1. This is my car.

2. These are good apples.

 

Example of demonstrative adjective:

1. That house is mine

2. I don’t know why such questions are asked.
