 What is the difference between recombinant and transformant?

All the bacteria which get transformed and receive the plasmid are called the transformants. But, only the bacteria which receive recombinant plasmid are known as recombinants. Recombinants are the bacteria which have received the recombinant DNA.

recombinants and transformants are nearly same but the difference is tht we use recombinants to show any genetic change which may not be seen physically but transformants are recombinants which also show physical change
