Smog is the poisonous combination of smoke ( released from industries) and fog. Fog is the sudden condensation of water vapourin a area that has experienced heat and moisture in the earlier parts of the day. CFC's are harmful inorganic compounds, used in refridgerators, air - conditioners, aerosol sprays and many other such electrical or non - electrical appliances, that directly affect the ozone layer. Ozone ( or O3)helps reducing the amount of UV rays which reach the surface of the Earth given out by the Sun whilst complex nuclear fission reactions. But due to the turbulance caused by CFC's, a ozone hole is formed. This ozone hole allows UV (Ultra - violet) rays to pass through it causing diseases in people like sunburns, sunstrokes and even skin cancer.

Hope this helps!!!
