What is the difference between supplementary angles and linear pair?

supp.angles - sum of any 2 angles must be 180

linear pair- sum of 2 adjacent angles must be 180 so as to form a linear pair.............

but in linear pairs there  should  be a straight line and a common line follow the figure

In supplementry angle their can be 2 different angles but in leniar pair the angles have to be on a line
