What is the difference between supplementary angles and linear pair?

supplementary angles:-supplementary angles are angles in which the sum of two angles is 180degree.

linear pair:-linear pair contains of two adjacent angles whose sum must be 180degree.

supp.angles - sum of any 2 angles must be 180

linear pair- sum of 2 adjacent angles must be 180 so as to form a linear pair.............

supplementary means 180

linear pairs also means 180

but in linear pairs there  should  be a straight line and a common line follow the figure

Linear Pair of angles
From Latin: linearis - "belonging to a line"
Definition: Two angles that are adjacent (share a leg) and supplementary (add up to 180°)
Try this Drag the orange dot at M.

In the figure above, the two angles JKM and LKM form a linear pair. They are supplementarybecause they always add to 180° and because they are adjacent, the two non-common legs form a straight line segment
