What is the difference between the seeds of bengal gram and peas?

Both Bengal Pea and Green Pea seeds belong to the same plant family but different species
 
Bengal Pea Seed is the Chick Pea or Indian White Chana

• ​It is whitish yellow in colour.  
• Rich in proteins.
• It is a Gram or Chana seed.
• It is hard and thus eaten after boiling or cooking.

Pea Seed is the Garden Pea or Indian Matar

• Scientific name : Pisum sativum
• ​It is green in colour.
• Rich in carbohydrate, fibres, vitamins and proteins.
• It is a green vegetable seed. 
• It is soft and may be eaten raw.
