What is the effect of pressure on solubility of a gas

Solution-
Solubility of a gas is directly proportional to the pressure. So we can say that as the pressure will increase, solubility will also increase. This statement is based on Henry's law which states that "amount of dissolved gas in a liquid is directly proportional to its partial pressure above the gas."
Thus as pressure increase, solubility will increase.
Most important example of this is that carbon dioxide is sealed under high pressure in soft drinks to increase its solubility. As we open the bottle, the pressure releases and solubility decreases (as can be seen from fizz coming)
