The frog has a three-chambered heart and consists of a conical ventricle and two auricles which lie immediately in front of the ventricle. The Truncus arteriosus lies on the front side of the ventricle and extends forward over the right auricle and finally divides into two branches to form aortic trunks- proximal pylangium and a distal synangium. It receives impure blood from all parts of the body and pours it into right auricle.
