What kind of reaction takes place when aluminium metal is placed in zinc sulphatesolution? Support your answer by a chemicalequation.

when Al is added to zinc sulphate solution (ZnSO4), aluminium displaces zinc from it's solution form.

The equation is:

           2 Al + ZnSO4 = Al2SO4 + Zn

  • 5

Displacement takes place. As aluminium is more reactive than zinc(which is less reactive compared to zinc) it displaces zinc from it's salt solution!

The equation  for the displacement of zinc by aluminium is as follows:

2 Al + ZnSO4 = Al2SO4 + Zn

hope this helps!!! pls leave a thumbs up!!!!!!!!!

The reaction are written are right.... And zinc is dispaced by aluminium as the aluminium is more reactive than zinc

displacement reaction.... 2Al +3 ZnSo4 ---> Al2(So4)3 + 3Zn
