what will happen if the backbone had only one long bone instead of many vertebrae

If our backbone had only one bone instead of many vertebrae then:
- There are gliding joints in between the vertebrae which help us to move and bend our back. These vertebra slide on each other and help us twist or bend our back.
- Due to these joints between vertebrae we are able to bend and twist our backs.
- If there will be only a single bone then the backbone will not have any joints and thus we would not be able to move our back.

THEN THE BACKBONE WOULD NOT BE FLEXIBLE  ENOUGH TO DO THE  DIFFERENT TYPES OF WORK THAT COMPULSORILY NEED THE BACKBONE'S FLEXIBILITY.

You are able to bend because your backbone is not a single bone .
But if you have only a single bone then you will not be able to bend.
You would be a statue

Vertebral column is a long, rod like structure running from the neck to the hips. If Vertebral Column was a single bone:-
a. We will not be able to bend our back. the vertebral column has gliding joints between its vertebra which allow us to bend easily. Now if the vertebral column is a single bone, we will not be able to bend

if there were only one bone which is long then there wud be bending problems .
