What would happen if we did not segregate our garbage?

Garbage segregation is a very important process by which we segregate waste products into biodegradable products or non-biodegradable products.
There are many types of waste products. Some of them can be degraded naturally and are called biodegradable wastes such as paper, vegetable peels etc. These can be mixed with soil to increase the fertility of soil. While the other cannot and are known as non biodegradable wastes such as plastic, glass, tin etc. They need to be disposed properly.
Some of them can be reused and recycled like tin, plastic etc.

Thus, it is important to segregate the waste products so as to treat them properly.
