whats the difference between turgor pressure and pressure potential? or are they the same? plz explain it clearly with examples

Turgor pressure

Pressure potential

The pressure exerted by water inside the cell against the cell wall.

A component of water potential that consists of the physical pressure on a solution, which can be positive, zero, or negative.

This pressure, turgidity, is caused by the osmotic flow of water from area of low solute concentration outside of the cell into the cell's vacuole, which has a higher solute concentration.

Pressure potential is based on mechanical pressure. As water passes through the cell wall and cell membrane, it increases the total amount of water present inside the cell, which exerts an outward pressure

When a plant cell stores ions, sugars and other solutes in its vacuole, this causes an influx of water which results in turgor pressure.

Pressure potential may be positive or negative.
