These cyclones are the result of sub-tropical easterly jet stream blowing over peninsular India. Also the coastal regions are full of humidity and acquire the weather to be warm and wet along with unstable air masses that morph into cyclones. Owing to lowest atmospheric pressure conditions coastal areas are vulnerable to cyclones.
