  hottest  zone is the torrid zone because it lies directly in front of the sun and the rays fall directly on

   centre area.  it covers a less area and more heat is produced .

coldest place is frigid zone . it lies on near the poles therefore it recieves less heat and it remains cold.

The hottest zone is the torrid zone beacause it gets maximum sunrays and the coldest zone is the frizid zone.It is known as frzid zone because this zone doesnot get sunrays due to the tilted nature of the earth.
