Which one is more Acidic??
Dear student,
Acidic character is directly proportional to the stability of carbanion and inversely proportional to the stability of carbocation.
In the first structure, CH3CH2+ will form which means it is a primary carbocation.
In the structure, CH3CH+-CH3 will form which means it is a secondary carbocation.
A secondary carbocation is more stable than a primary carbocation. Hence, ethyl chloride will be more acidic in nature.
