Why are acids not stored in metal containers? Containers/vessels made from which materials are safe to store acids?

Acidsd cannot be stored in metal containers as they will react with the metal, forming metal salt and liberating Hydrogen gas.

Containers made of glass  are ideal for storage of acid due to its chemical inertness.
