why blood is called fluid connective tissue?

Embryologically, blood has the same origin as the other connective tissue types have and blood connects the body systems together bringing the needed oxygen, nutrients, hormones and removing the wastes.Due to these reason blood is characterised as connective tissue.

Hope this helps,

Its because it is liquid as well as a solid. Blood is composed of red blood cells & white blood cells etc... Tissues on a simple scale are defined as a compilation of cells

Blood is connective tissue because it does connect through the body and it does have fibers that are visible during blood clotting.

Also, they didnt fit anywhere else and there isn't an other category

Hope that helps!

it is  called fluid because it contains fluid matrix called plasma and connective because it connects various parts

Fluid connective tissue
i. Cells suspended in a liquid fibrous matrix.
ii. Blood cells = formed elements
iii. Liquid matrix = plasma.

Blood is called a connective tissue because it carries with iot many digestive substances, oxygen from lungs, foos from small intestines and provide it to other tissues and organs of the body. Since, it connect the heart , lungs, small intestines with other tissues of the body and works as a medium between them , it is called a connective tissue of the body.Hope this helps you..!!!Thumbs up plzz..!! :D

it contains a fluid matrix called plasma , if this is not sufficient it shows a property of fluidity so it is fluid

  1. Blood is considered a connective tissue because it has a matrix. The living cell types are red blood cells, also called erythrocytes, and white blood cells, also calledleukocytes . The fluid portion of whole blood, its matrix, is commonly called plasma.

blood has a fluid matrix as it is filled with plasma which is fluid in nature. plasma is a composition of  red blood cells , white blood cells and platelets .

1) It derives from mesoderm .
2) 55% of blood is plasma and the rest is granule.
3) it connects each organ of the body with the other.
4) it has all the three components that of a connective tissue,i.e.,cells , fibers , and matrix.
5) Fibroblast ,which is the most important cell of a connective tissue ,is present in blood.
so , blood is called liquid connective tissue .

Blood is considered a connective tissue for two basic reasons: (1) embryologically, it has the same origin (mesodermal) as do the other connective tissue types and (2)blood connects the body systems together bringing the needed oxygen, nutrients, hormones and other signaling molecules, and removing the wastes.
