why can we only see one side of the moon????

Hi Starcine,

We always see only one side of the moon because of the way the moon rotates on its own axis and revolves around the earth. The moon takes approximately 27 days and 8 hours to rotate on its own axis and nearly same time it takes to revolve around the earth.
See the position of the blue mark on the moon as the moon revolves around the earth and rotates on its own axis. You can observe that only one side of the moon keeps pointing towards the earth and the other side remains hidden.

Hope this explanation helps you understand why we see only one side of the moon.
Keep posting & have a great day!
