Why did KalpanaChawla became an astronaut ?

After Kalpana qualified as a pilot, she took another step and applied to NASA’s space shuttle program. She was hired first as a research scientist at NASA. In 1994, she was selected for training as an astronaut. The awareness that she could become an astronaut came from her desire to follow her dreams and ambitions.  She believed that if one is passionate about his/her dream and pursues it with ardently, one can reach heights of success.

Kalpana Chawla was a girl with dreams.From a very young age, Maybe 10,11 or 12 she had a dream to go in space and see what the earth looks like from outer space. Unlike most children who change their opinion or their future career according to their taste..She had a even stronger will to fulfill her dream.Kalpana, as she grew older wanted t be the first person on the moon...She later proved herself and fulfilled her dream.She not only went to the moon but also won the title of the first india woman to set foot on the moon..she won many medals and awards for this..She has set yet another example to the world that if you have a really strong will to fulfill and achieve your dreams, you can do it..
