why do seeds need wet soil to germinate and grow into a big tree.Prove it
Actually seeds require moisture and not soil to germinate. A seed completely inside wet soil will not germinate but will decay. While a seed in moist condition in the presence of sunlight will germinate. A seed can be germinated on palm but it will not grow to become a tree. After germination nutrients are required as well as strong support is required to withstand against wind and other destabilising natural forces. It is not possible to give water, nutrients and artificial support to a big tree. So seeds are sown in soil so that it get sunlight as well as moisture from soil. After germination and after some growth it absorbs nutrients and water from soil and in the presence of sunlight it makes its own food. After many years it becomes a big tree, its roots grow inside soil in the direction of water.
