Why do we say that two liquids are immisible explain taking a suitable example

Dear student
When two liquids do not mix together and instead form layers they are referred to as immiscible liquids and when they mix together they are said to be Miscible liquids.
Oil and water are 2 immiscible liquids. If you mix oil and water in a beaker, oil will float and form a layer over water surface as it is less dense than water but will not mix with water.
