why does mn+ have lower ionisation enthalpy than cr+

Dear Student, Second ionisation is the energy required to remove second electron from a positive ion.The configuration of Cr+:[Ar]3d5. So,we see that d-orbital is half filled, implying increase in stability. So,large amount of energy is required for conversion from Cr+ to Cr2+. In Mn+,there is no such stability, hence energy is less.
