The spices burn our mouth because of they contain some specific molecules which are detected by then thousands of receptors present on the tongue.This specific molecule is generally known as Capsiacin in chilies which binds to the surface of the receptor of cells of the tongue that help in detecting temperature and send the message of burning sensation to the brain.It also feels the burns in the mouth because these receptors activate at a temperature higher than 42 degrees or by an acid.

Ingredients used to make spices are chili powder, cumin powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, vinegar etc.
Example of spices which is eaten the most are turmeric, chili pepper, cayenne, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, sage etc
