Why does the polar bears do not eat a seals meat?
Polar bears hunt seals and consume its fat and skin leaving the meat for other organisms. The fats provide for majority of its energy requirements. The meat is rich in protein and heavy to digest , while fats are easier to digest. Fats provide more calories than meat making it efficient eating. Fat digestion releases water while meat digestion requires water , hence they prefer to eat fats as they have to survive long periods without water.
