why in democracy there is delay in decision making

1)  Democratic government is accountable to the people and hence, there is a delay in decision making because it considers people’s interests and frame policies that benefit them

2)   Decision making in democracy is based on certain procedures which has to be examined and analysed before they are implemented.

3)  It can well observed from many practices that decision making is given much importance in a democracy like conducting of free and fair elections, open debate of government policies, citizens’ right to information about the functioning of the government etc
