Why is the Torrid Zone the hottest ?

Torrid zone lies between tropic of cancer and tropic of Capricorn. Rays of the Sun fall directly vertically over these area though out the year.  Sun rays are obliquely fall on temperate and more oblique on frigid zone,So Torrid zone is  the hottest.

Equator is nearest to Torrid Zone . As the sun rays fall directly towards to the Torrid Zone , so it gets the maximum amount of heat. This is the reason why Torrid Zone is the hottest.
