why plants do not specialised organs for respiration

Dear Student,

Please find below the solution/link to the asked query:

Plants do not have any specialized organs for gaseous exchange for the reason that they do not have great demands for gaseous exchange unlike animals. Gaseous exchange occurs though stomatal pores present on the surface of leaves and lenticels present in stem. Also, the distance travelled by the gases in plants is not much and hence diffusion is enough to meet the demand.
