Why soels of shoes and tyres of vehicles are treaded?

The souls of the shoe are threaded because to the best grip between the shoe and the ground and we do not slip in the same sense for better griping of tyre and the road are threaded to increase the friction for better griping between the road and the tyre .

So that the friction is increased and we don't slip . These treads give a very good grip on the surface we are walking or travelling..
