Why we can't hold glass of hot water?

Dear Student

Conduction is the process of transfer of where heat travel from hot end to cold and the molecules does not move.

heat can be transferred by conduction only if:-

  • they are in contact and
  • there temperature are not the same.
When we hold a glass of hot water, heat gets transferred to our body from the hot glass.
The temperature of our hand rises and it feels hot due to which we can not hold a glass of hot water.
