Synthetic garments can catch fire very easily. They are not safe near heat and fire. As kitchen involves a lot of work near the fire, there is always a risk of them catching fire. Therefore, they should be avoided on the kitchen.

The synthetic fibres melt on heating . Synthetic clothes are not very comfortable to wear in the kitchen as thsy are not sweat absorbent In case of  a fire the synthetic clothes will stick onto the body of the victim and have disastrous consequences
