City and village are like two ends of the spectrum. They stand opposite each other and offer very distinct lifestyles. The advantages of one are often the disadvantages of the other. Life in a village is indeed much easier and healthier in a clean environment, with less pollution, fewer noises, beautiful landscapes, more greenery, fresh air and less congestion, villages remain less opportunistic and do poorly in important statistics. This can be measured by the number of people who abandon the village life to settle in the city every year. While most of them would prefer staying in the village, for the food on their table and the economic opportunities a city provides, they have to make the sacrifice. Cities have better transportation, better medical facilities, well-developed education, better communication, safer living and better career opportunities. Cities are more well-equipped with public amenities than villages. In addition to all this, to ease the developing stress, cities have better entertainment facilities than villages. In the end, cities represent a composite heterogeneous culture which leads to the full development of the human mind in contrast with the homogeneous culture of a village. Thus, city life is, in general, better than village life.
