It is better to use a divider than a ruler, because the thickness of the ruler may cause difficulties in reading off her length. However divider gives up accurate measurement.

Actually both are good methods for measuring the line segment but if we use a ruler so our measurement will be faster just we have to measure it but in divider first we have to keep the two points the in the front of he ruler so it will take time so it is better to use a ruler.
