The environment comprises of all the living and non-living things that occur naturally on the Earth. Living beings interact with other living beings in natural environment. It contains all the ecological units and the natural resources of the Earth.

 The natural environment has been facing the onslaught of human interference from a long time, especially in the last several decades. As a result, the natural environment has been degraded at numerous places severely, because of such actions. Water and air pollution, deforestation, soil, water, and wind erosion, urbanisation amongst several other factors have altered and damaged the natural environment the world over.
