Dear Uncle Raj,
I hope you are fit and fine as usual. I want to share with you something really exciting. Our school had organised a singing competition today. It was not the usual competition but a patriotic song competition. It was organised for the first time and all the students were excited about it. Everyone wanted to take part in it but it was not possible. A preliminary round was conducted and after that the final found was held today.
Even I was selected and I sang 'Sare jahan se acha' The children sang with a lot of patriotic fervour and the songs were liked by the judges. Songs like 'mere watan ke logon,' 'jhanda uncha rahe,' hum sab bhartiya hain' got a lot of applause. Even my song was liked very much. In the end we all waited impatiently for the results and I was surprised that I got the second prize. The girl who sang 'mere watan ke logon' got the first prize. We were all very happy to have shown love towards our motherland.
