Write information about social, economic and cultural activities of tribals in Maharashtra and Odisha.

Dear Student,
The most common tribal community that lives in Orissa are Khonds. They live in forests and do collective hunting and divide the meat among themselves. They also use many herbs and shrubs for medicinal purposes and also sell forest products in market to earn their livelihood. Some of tribal people also do odd jobs in their nearby villages and as forest areas are shrinking tribal people have to rely more on labour to earn little wages.
There is also a Baigas tribe in Central India who consider themselves as people of the forest and are reluctant to do any kind of odd jobs. Baigas are also known as best hunters.
Talking about Maharashtra, Bhil, Gond, Warli are some of the major tribes of this area. They have a rich culture heritage, worshipping nature in different forms, animal sacrifices, adorning head with horn are still in practice there. They move from place to place in search of work and they live in temporary structures.
Talking about social aspect of tribal people, they do not follow any caste system and gender inequality also seen less in them. Those who are experienced in age becomes leader of the tribe.
