Respected principal,teachers,staff and my dear friends. Good morning to one and all.
I am a member of school literacy club and we have organised my classes in villages and cities to make the realise the importance of being a literate as well trying best to remove illiteracy from the society as much as he can.
I am here to give a short speech on the topic of removing illiteracy. A literate is more confident and valued in a society than an illiterate person. A literate person gains more respect and demand than an illiterate person in a society.
There are many schools especially government who do not use proper English language and teach the student the lessons in their regional language.Even the teachers appointed for the english teachers in government schools are themselves not well educated and are not capable to bring out a good literate person from the child.This is a great threat to the students who go for higher education face very bad problem in understand the language and learning lessons,
It is very important for a person to know english because english is a universal language as well as a medium for understand education. A literate person can fulfil his own needs as well as the needs of the very well. A illiterate cannot this. Illiterate persons even face embarrassment in gatherings where english is madium of communication. They even face problems in their day to day lives.
Therefore it is our mutual responsibility to make an illiterate person feel good about himself by making him an literate
