Zero stoichiometric coefficient does not make any sense as it means no molecule is involved in chemical reaction but than why do we say that stoichiometric coefficient are whole nos. instead we should say that stoichiometric coefficients are natural nos. Pls explain in detail.

Solution
Stoichiometric coefficients can be fractions as well as whole numbers.
There are often chemical species present that do not participate in a reaction; their stoichiometric coefficients are hence, zero. Any chemical species that is regenerated, such as a catalyst, also has a stoichiometric coefficient of zero.
