Dear Student,
Anil is 18th from the left and Manoj is 17th from the right in the row
 Thus, excluding the boys between Anil and Manoj, there are 35 boys in the row
Let the total number of boys be x
 Then, there are 18x number of boys between Manoj and Anil
Thus, 35 + 18x = x⇒ 35 = x - 18x⇒ 35 = 78x⇒ x = 35 × 87⇒ x = 40Since, Manoj is 17th from the right, there are 23 students to his left
 So, he is 24th from left end
