5 examples of each of them {change in state, temperature and formation of precipitate }
Dear student
1.Change in state:
2. Change in temperature:
a)The reaction in which there is change in temperature is given below:-
Mg+2HCl--->MgCl2+H2+heat is produced
b)Change in temperature:
Dissolve sodium hydroxide in water, the temperature rises as it is exothermic reaction.
NaOH(s) + H2O → → Na+(aq) + OH-(aq)
c)Decomposition of lead nitrate
2 Pb(NO3)2 (s) ------> 2 PbO2 (s) + 4NO2 (g)
Here the temperture is decreased when move from reactant to product
d)NaOH + HCl ---> NaCl + ?H2O+ heat
The temperature will increase because heat will be evolved.
e) When quicklime reacts with water, slaked lime is formed with a release of large amount of heat, causing change in temperature in the reaction mixture.
CaO +H2O →Ca(OH)2 + Heat
3.Formation of precipitate:
a)The reaction in which there is formation of precipitate is given below:-
NaOH+HCl----->NaCl+H2O
Here NaCl is a precipitate.
b)When a solution of potassium iodide is added to lead nitrate solution, then a precipitate of lead iodide is formed which is yellow in colour.A balanced chemical equation is shown as follows:2KI (aq) + Pb(NO3)2 (aq) → PbI2 (s) + 2KNO3 (aq)
c)The example of precipitation reaction is :
NaCl (aq) + AgNO3 (aq) → NaNO3 (aq) + AgCl (↓)
d)when copper sulfate reacts with NaOH, a blue precipitate of Cu(OH)2 is formed

CuSO4 + 2NaOH → Cu(OH)2 + Na2SO4
e)When sodium sulfate reacts with barium chloride, barium sulfate precipitate is formed
Na2SO4 +BaCl2 -->BaSO4 +2NaCl
