A body of mass 3.5 lg displaces 1000 cm^3 of water when fully immersed in it. Calculate the upthrust on body and the apparent weight of body in water
Experts pls solve this last sum for me

Dear Student,
Volume of water displaced = Volume of the body
Therefore,
Volume of body = 1000 cm3
Upthrust = Volume of water displaced × density of water × g
= 1000 cm3 × 1g/cm3 × g
= 1000 gf
Apparent weight = Weight in air - Upthrust
                              = 3.5 kgf - 1.0 kgf
                              = 2.5 kgf
