A body weighs 75 g in air ,70.5 g in water and 66 g in liquid.Calculate relative density of liquid

Consider that ρa , ρw, ρl and ρ are the density of air, water, liquid and body respectively.

Apparent weight of the body = True weight - buoyant force (Vρg)

V is the volume of the body.

ρa = 1 kg/m3 , ρw = 103 kg/m3 

According to the problem,

Solving equation (i) and (ii), we get

m = 75.0045 kg  ,  V = 0.0045 kg/m3

substituting the values in equation (iii),we get

 ρl = 2001.00 kg
