A dice is thrown ,find the probability of getting an even number

Dear student Even number - 2,4,6 no. of outcome = 3 total outcome = 6 probability = no.of outcome/ total outcome p= 3/6 or probability of getting an even no is 3/6 or 1/2. Regards

Total no. Of outcomes =6
Total no of possible outcomes that is even number = 3

So, 3/6=1/2

Hence the answer is 1/2

When a dice is thrown, the sample space will be {1,2,3,4,5,6}
To get an even number, favourable outcomes are {2,4,6} =3
Total number of outcomes= 6
P (an even number)=no.of favourable outcomes /Total no. of outcomes
=3/6
=1/2
