1. It is easier to bring the object downward because Normal component of  force decreases the weight of body
2. When object is vertical plane then including there is another force called Reaction force N acting normal to the object so to overcome this force we have to exert some more Force.
3. When we exert a force then then due to friction the body want to remain in its initial position,so to change its position the required force will be dependent on Friction between the two surfaces.
